Choir celebrate 50 years with concert

The Waupaca Community Choir and Civic Orchestra will present its 50th Anniversary Concert at 2:30 p.m. April 7 at the Waupaca High School Performing Arts Center, E2325 King Road, Waupaca.

The featured works are a collaboration of some of the most memorable choruses from the previous 50 years of Masterworks. Selections include: "Gloria in Excelsis" by Antonio Vivaldi, "How Lovely are the Messengers" by Felix Mendelssohn, "And the Glory of the Lord" and the "Hallelujah Chorus" by George Frederic Handel, "Do-Re-Mi" and "The Sound of Music" by Rodgers and Hammerstein, "God Bless America" by Irving Berlin and more.

Tickets cost $10 in advance and $12 at the door for adults, and $4 in advance and $6 at the door for students. Tickets are available at the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce, Stratton's Drug Store, Waupaca Community Arts Center and from choir members.
