The former Stevens Point Area Senior High hockey standout was dealing with an emotional tug-of-war as he contemplated whether the University of New Hampshire was the right fit for him.

Coming off the ice at Verizon Wireless Arena drenched in sweat, muscles burning with the pain after another grueling practice, Pavelski was putting in the time yet not reaping the reward when the lights shined the brightest on game night. ...
