Malinda Gropp, 96, of Marshfield had dreams of one day visiting Rome, where she would enjoy the beautiful Italian landscape, architecture, castles and churches. She said she would hear bells and had a desire to meet the pope. She envisioned herself eating foods from the area such as lasagna and biscotti.
Companion Day Services adult day care presented Malinda, her son Jake and the other participants with a fake passport and round-trip ticket to Rome on Feb. 28. We wanted to make this dream come true.
