Two Wausau residents are running Tuesday to fill the vacant City Council seat that represents residents living on Wausau's downtown east side.

Mark Lambert is aiming to oust sitting council member Robert Mielke for the job representing District 11.

Mielke edged out Lambert in August for the seat when Wausau Mayor Jim Tipple broke a tie vote among Wausau City Council members seeking to replace Ed Gale, who resigned from the job July 31 for health reasons. ...
