It's Your Call

CANDIDATE SUPPORT: A recent letter said not to vote for John DeVantier because he is supported by a Christian organization that believes in traditional marriage. Thinking people understand that anti-gay marriage is not the same as anti-gay. I believe most gays simply want to be left alone. Militant gays, however, have become very aggressive and are, in fact, bullies. Does being supported by a Christian organization really make John an unacceptable candidate? Vote Tuesday. The future for your child is in the voters' hands. I will be voting for Pat Roggensack for Supreme Court and for Don Pridemore for schools superintendent. If you live in Appleton, John is an excellent candidate. For me, it's about the children.

GET TO KNOW CANDIDATE: I would like to comment on the gentleman who wrote about John DeVantier. I don't know if this gentlemen has even met him, but I assure you I have. John would be a great Appleton Board of Education member. He loves his kids, he loves his family and I don't know why someone who doesn't agree with someone's else's opinion should not be on the school board or in any other office. I found this to be in poor taste.

Kenneth Nibbe,

Appleton
