10 YEARS AGO: Colby School District is forming a committee to make 4-year-old kindergarten accessible to everyone. An informational meeting is scheduled at the Colby School District Education Center.

Four are vying for two seats on the Loyal School Board. They are incumbent Joan Knack, opposed by Todd D. Olson, and incumbent Lois Aumann, opposed by Kenneth Loos.

25 YEARS AGO: Elections were held at a recent meeting of the Marshfield Women's Club. Officers elected were Marijane Hall, president; Marion Stone, first vice president; Eve McKenzie, second vice president; Anne-Greta Cook, recording secretary; Elnora Roland, corresponding secretary; and Millie Shriake, treasurer.

50 YEARS AGO: The Rev. Rudolph Kerch gave an illustrated lecture on Rome and Canonization of the Saints at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Most of the 150 colored slides shown were taken by the Rev. Kerch himself during his worldwide travels.

75 YEARS AGO: About 40 members of the Sportsmens Club of Central Wisconsin met at their 2-acre plot on the Eau Pleine Flowage to build a road from the highway to their land. The club plans to raise several thousand pheasants on the land this summer.
