Updated: Power restored in Wausau after outage

Power has been restored to the 4,800 WPS customers who spent about 4 hours today without electricity. According to a WPS spokesperson, the outage was due to equipment failure.1:25 p.m.

WPS officials report power is returning in most areas of the outage, and but still don't have an estimate as to when power will be fully restored.11 a.m. ...

About 4,800 Wisconsin Public Service customers, most on the east side of Wausau, have been without power since about 9:30 a.m. today.
