Sturgeon Bay snowmobiler goes through the ice

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department says a 59-year-old man fell through the ice of the bay on a snowmobile near Vine Court on Friday night.

Officers found the man walking on Clay Banks Road when they responded to the scene just before 7 p.m. He was placed in a squad car while rescue personnel tended to him after a short time in the water, the department said.

The man was given a citation for operating a snowmobile while intoxicated. ...
