LETTER: A penny for your thoughts

Here is my "two cents worth" about the Common Cents article published in The Reporter on Wednesday, March 27.

I found a penny today, just laying on the ground. But it's not just a penny, this little coin I found.

Found pennies come from heaven. That's what my grandpa told me. He said, "Angels toss them down."

Oh, how I loved that story.

Grandfather also said, "When an angel misses you, he tosses a penny down. Sometimes it's to cheer you up and make a smile out of your frown."

So don't pass by a penny when you're feeling blue. It could be a penny from heaven that an angel has tossed to you!

I know most people wouldn't stoop down to pick up a penny, but I like to think that "Somebody up there" is looking down and smiling at me whenever I see a penny on the ground.
