Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 41 near Oneida Street early Sunday.

Police were called to the scene at about 12:30 a.m. after a vehicle heading north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 from Scheuring Road collided head-on with two vehicles heading south near Oneida Street.

All three vehicles had a single occupant. The three drivers were taken to area hospitals, where they were treated and released, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Department. A 24-year-old Pulaski woman and 26-year-old Plover man were driving the vehicles heading south. A 26-year-old Appleton man drove the northbound vehicle.

Southbound lanes on U.S. 41 were closed for about four hours. The sheriff's department, De Pere and Green Bay police departments and Wisconsin State Patrol helped Ashwaubenon Public Safety monitor the scene while crews cleared and documented the incident.
