The Easter Bunny doesn't have anything on these two cuties, except maybe a pink nose. Four-year-old Chloe, left, and 8-year-old Oscar are sporting their Easter Sunday best in hopes there are a couple of new squeaky toys in their basket, courtesy of their humans, Pat and Lois Phillips of Bellevue.
Oscar is trained in agility and obedience, so he loves a good game of fetch, but he's also looking forward to fishing season out on the boat. Chloe keeps up with her big brother when it comes to begging, rolling over, shaking and playing dead, but prefers barking at the UPS truck over fetching.
"Being quick of mind and movement, they are always up for a squirrel or rabbit chase but know the lot line is strictly enforced. Although, last year a neighbor did carry Oscar to the front door in his live rabbit trap,'' writes Lois.
Both Shetland sheepdogs regularly visit nursing homes and will be featured in the pet fashion show for the Paws Parade of Hope fundraiser from 12:30 to 4 p.m. April 21 at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay to benefit local cancer charities. What will they be wearing? You'll just have to come to find out.
