While spring has many people thinking about cleaning their houses and yards, at Clean Slate Health Center, 1292 Osborn Ave., the talk is about cleaning up their diets.

Clean Slate owner Sarah Kaehny not only offers exercise classes at her small gym, she also teaches a "Food Academy." In the 10-session class, Kaehny teaches how to choose and prepare healthy meals. Much of her philosophy rests upon the idea of "clean eating," a phrase that has been appearing more frequently as of late.
