DAR chapter presents ROTC award

Barbara Kiser, National Defense chairman of Stevens Point Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, presented the NSDAR Gold Medal Award to ROTC Cadet Alex Pecor of Oconto at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Military Ball held recently.

Recipients of the medal must have demonstrated outstanding ability and achievement in a program that prepares trained officers for service in the armed forces.

In addition to the medal, Cadet Pecor was given a certificate and a cash award from the Chapter. The NSDAR Medal is the only nonmilitary medal that may be worn on a ...
