Dust-up over maintenance check ends Village Board meeting

Monday night's Forestville Village Board meeting ended with an angry exchange involving the village president, a trustee and the village clerk over a $500 check for maintenance services.

Village President Terry McNulty said he wouldn't sign the check, made payable to Dave Miller, who was McNulty's opponent in Tuesday's village election.

Miller receives $2,000 per year from the village in quarterly increments for maintaining the village park, cleaning and repairing restrooms, making minor electrical repairs and erecting signs throughout the village. ...
