AARP volunteers help complete, file tax forms (with video)

As the deadline to file state and federal income tax returns looms, the action is heating up at the Marshfield Senior Center, where volunteers help low- to moderate-income filers complete their forms.

Few appointments for the free service remain, said Don Zais, coordinator for the tax preparation service at the senior center, 111 S. Maple Ave. The last day of the program is April 10.

While the program focuses on providing assistance to people age 60 and older, the service offered also helps low-income tax filers, Zais said. The service is sponsored by the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. ...
