A small number of contested local races led county election officials to anticipate a low voter turnout of about 10 to 12 percent in today's election. The Elks Ladies of Lodge No. 292 planned accordingly.

The lodge, which serves as a polling place for voting wards 25A, 25B and 26 in Oshkosh, is home to the Elks Ladies' Election Day bake sale, which benefits several local charities. The site is usually a busy location during elections, said Pat Seibold while working at the bake sale table.
