Washington school input sessions planned Tuesday, Wednesday

Sheboygan Area School District administrators and Board of Education members will host two community input sessions this week on the proposed closure of Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy

A committee has recommended closing the school, which would affect more than 1,000 students in seven district elementary schools and save the district an estimated $1 million annually, if approved by the school board.

The sessions will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, in the Urban Middle School auditorium, 1226 North Ave. ...
