The Van Horn Automotive Group has purchased the Memorial Plaza Shopping Center in Sheboygan, where the group's owner hopes to begin construction on a new Mazda dealership later this year.

The $5.9 million deal closed in late March, and new owner Chuck Van Horn said Monday he intends to retain each of the shopping center's existing tenants.

The shopping center is fully occupied and includes Marcus Cinema, Pizza Ranch, Big Lots, Dunham's Sports and OfficeMax. The surrounding commercial area also includes a high concentration of automotive dealers, including Van Horn Hyundai. ...
