Pittsville students learn about dangers of texting while driving (with video)

If you text while you drive, you could end up dead.

That's the message that local police and transportation-safety advocates hoped to spread to students during a recent program at Pittsville High School that kicked off April's National Distracted Driving Awareness Month.

About 200 Pittsville High School students had the opportunity to learn about the dangers of texting while driving last week from Brian Wild, a natural resources management student at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point who took time from his spring break to share information with the students. ...
