Radio station WGBW (1590 AM) has dropped ESPN sports programming and returned to playing oldies music, station owner Mark Heller said Tuesday.

"We tried, and the market is just saturated with sports radio," Heller said.

The station switched to "True Oldies with Scott Shannon" on Tuesday night.

WGBW switched to ESPN in January, when WDUZ dropped ESPN as part of Cumulus Media's move to CBS Sports Radio.

WGBW is a 10,000-watt station located in Cooperstown, near Denmark.
