215 volunteers expected for United Way Day of Caring

Imagine 215 volunteers blanketing the community completing service, projects for 19 community organizations. That is what will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, April 5, during the Oshkosh Area United Way's 18th Annual Day of Caring.

This year, volunteers will wash windows, spread woodchips, clean out storage sheds, sort donations, paint, in ventory books, organize supplies, clean toys, read to children, prepare and serve lunch, sort bedding, and perform various types of yard work and home fix-it projects.

This year's special guests include Oshkosh Mayor Burk Tower and keynote ...
