A look back at the '50s, '60s in Oshkosh

The setting is Oshkosh, but Randy Domer's experiences growing up in the 1950s and '60s could have happened in any small Midwestern town. It's when his memories turn to favorite haunts like the Hutch Drive-in or characters like boyhood friend Mark Gruenwald that the story becomes all Oshkosh.

Domer will share childhood memories from his book, "Yesterday in Oshkosh, My Hometown," at the Oshkosh Public Library on Thursday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in the lower level meeting room. The pr ogram is co-sponsored by the Winnebagoland Genealogical Society.
