Sheboygan Falls voters did not approve the $33.8 million referendum that would have allowed the Sheboygan Falls School District to move forward with plans to construct a new middle school and early learning addition, among other projects.

In unofficial vote totals, the referendum was defeated by a vote of 1,966 to 1,336.

School Board President John Mauer said he was disappointed with the results, but ultimately, it was up to the voters. ...
