Letter: Liars Club comes through once again

9:18 PM, Apr. 2, 2013  |  Comments

The Sheboygan Area School District would like to once again thank the Liars Club of Sheboygan, which continues to support the Sheboygan Area School District through its generous donations of specialized equipment and materials for students with disabilities. As a result of its popular street dance and brat fry, the SASD has been able to obtain needed equipment for students in a time when school budgets are restricted.

Donated items have included specialized bicycles, standers, swings, vacuum cleaners, computer programs and dishwashers. The items have been critical in the development of functional life skills for students with cognitive and physical disabilities in the Sheboygan Area School District. Specific schools that have benefited include James Madison Elementary, Horace Mann Middle School and Sheboygan North High School.

Since its inception more than 30 years ago, the Liars Club has had strong commitment to supporting numerous charities throughout the county. We have developed a strong relationship with the Liars Club for the past several years and continue to benefit from their generosity. We encourage everyone to attend the annual street dance and brat fry in August and witness a dedicated group of hardworking and caring individuals who support children and adults with special needs.
