A third of the Merrill School Board will change over as a result of Tuesday's election, and new members say the change opens an opportunity to boost working relationships.

But nobody is ready to predict how the two newcomers and one returning member will shift the political power on the board, which often finds itself split into voting blocs on controversial issues.
