It's often said in football that safeties are the quarterbacks of the defense.

If that's true, it makes sense that University of Wisconsin redshirt freshman Reggie Mitchell was quickly tabbed as a safety in the new defense.

Mitchell, a former prep quarterback from Pittsburgh, Pa., started out at cornerback last season, but was told he was moving to safety on the first day of winter workouts. ...
