EDITOR: To the Residents of Kronenwetter: Thank you so much for the advice and support you've given me as village president for the past four years. It was both helpful and gratifying. I wish President-elect Geraldine Kowalski and incoming Trustees Jim Luedtke and Chris Eiden the very best in their new roles.

My thanks and appreciation go to current Trustees Theresa O'Brien, Chris Voll, Dan Lesniak, and Mark Pertile and to outgoing Trustee Justeen Mallo-Vollrath for their hard work and dedication. Trustees spend many hours preparing for and attending the numerous board and committee meetings that are required of them. I wish them and the entire village staff well in the future.

I couldn't conclude this letter without thanking my family for their constant support. My husband deserves a very special thank you for putting up with four years of my crazy schedule. He spent a lot of evenings and ate many meals alone, usually leftovers, while I attended meetings. Thank you for all your support, Wayne - but I probably still won't get up at 5 a.m. to go fishing with you!

Finally, to the residents, please stay involved in your local government. Attend meetings, review and analyze the packets of information provided on the website, hold your representatives and the staff to high standards and offer advice but also your thanks when appropriate.

Judi Akey,

Kronenwetter
