Final vote counts in a close Pulaski School District referendum will be released Monday.

Voters approved a question asking to borrow $4.4 million for building repairs by seven votes in Tuesday's election, with 3,046 in favor and 3,039 against. The deadline for absentee votes is 5 p.m. Friday.

Votes will be canvassed and final counts available Monday afternoon.

A district official said today a resident called to say a recount will be requested once final counts are canvassed.

Voters rejected three other referendum questions asking for funding for technology, building and classroom renovations, a new pool and other amenities.

They also voted down a Nov. 6 referendum that tied requests into a single question.
