Obama ignores 'balance' that Ryan offers

After hearing President Barack Obama's opinion on Rep. Paul Ryan's budget, it is interesting to see the approach Obama has taken to provide economic stability. Rejecting Ryan's budget proposal so rapidly has me wondering how much consideration is actually going into the idea of a balanced economy at all. At least with Ryan's plan there is direction and a thoroughly thought-out approach in an attempt to establish balance in 10 years. It is bothersome to hear that the actions Obama proposes do not offer a clear outlook on the future. As stated by Obama in his interview with George Stephanopoulos, "potentially what you have is balance." If it is not properly spelled out in a budget, the chances of reaching balance are a lot less likely. As the president's goal is "not to chase a balanced budget, just for the sake of balance," it seems that the nation is left with an even more confusing chase for equilibrium.

Ryan is prioritizing to get the economy back on track, while Obama is not. If balance is not a priority for the president, I'm not quite sure what is.
