A Stevens Point Area Senior High graduate is working on a project that could lead to reduced environmental impact for cars in the future.

Emily Keats, 26, of Fort Collins, Colo., is one of several Colorado State University students working on the Eco Car 2, a challenge engineering students are doing to learn how to reduce fuel emissions.

In the project, General Motors is sending a 2013 Chevy Malibu to 15 universities. Their challenge is to reduce the environmental impact of the car without compromising its safety or fuel economy. ...
