Women's Community fundraiser breaks record

The annual spring fundraiser for The Women's Community broke records this year, and the organization's leaders are thankful for it after a stretch of sequesters and budget cuts.

Hooray for Hollywood, this year held March 9 at the Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau, is an annual fundraiser that includes a dinner and a live and silent auction. The event this year raised more than $53,000, the largest amount in the event's six-year history. It raised $49,000 last year.
