The cross intersection at Wisconsin 57 and C would be replaced by a "J-turn" in two to three years under a plan recommended Thursday by the Door County Highway Safety Commission.
The Door County Highway Traffic Safety Commission voted Thursday morning to recommend installing turnarounds in the median of Wisconsin 57 to replace the intersection with County C in the town of Brussels.
The commission is made up of highway, law enforcement and county government officials who meet four times a year to discuss safety concerns on Door County roads.
Turnarounds - called "J-turns" by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) - could be installed at the 57/C crossing in two- to three-years, DOT Traffic Safety Engineer Scott Nelson said. ...
