A state farmers group hopes to make the voices of its rural constituents heard in Madison.

Officials from the Wisconsin Farmers Union, a cooperative that has advocated for family farms since 1931, is embarking on a statewide Spring Tour. The group met with local WFU members in Fond du Lac County on Wednesday.

"Right now we're dealing with the items in the governor's proposed budget - some of the things we support and others that have raised red flags," WFU President Darin Von Ruden said. ...
