Oshkosh North notches second straight shutout

Oshkosh North has played 160 minutes of its 2013 season and still has yet to yield a goal.

Nicole Herkert finished with a goal and an assist, Nicole Hawley provided an offensive spark and the Spartans recorded their second straight shutout in a 3-0 non-conference win over Beaver Dam on J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Thursday night.

"I think we started out really slow, definitely not as quick as we came out against Berlin (on Tuesday)," North coach Sohaila Akhavein said. "As we kept moving the ball around, the momentum got there. That was the key to our success tonight: playing quick." ...
