Big inning carries Ripon past Laconia

Ripon 8, Laconia 3: Cait Dolata smacked a two-run single to highlight a seven-run fourth inning that put the Tigers ahead to stay in their season-opener.

Laconia jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning but Ripon would get an RBI from Dolata in the third to cut the lead in the half. Then, in the fourth, the Tigers rattled off eight straight hits in posting the seven runs and cruised from there.

Dolata was one of five Tigers to finish with two hits in the game along with Kayla Putzer, Alyssa ...
