Red tape continues to hold up Ribbles' adoption of Russian child

Krystal and Jared Ribble remain at the mercy of international politics as they wait to adopt the Russian girl they already consider their daughter.

The Ribbles, the son and daughter-in-law of U.S. Rep. Reid Ribble, R-Sherwood, were in the process of adopting an 8-year-old girl when Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning adoptions of Russian children to the U.S. The law took effect Jan. 1.
