Neither Martha nor Sally Warschau remember the moment they discovered their parents were different from all the other parents.

There probably was no moment. Their uniqueness was always just there.

Their parents, Anschel and Fela Warschau, were survivors of the Holocaust. Their daughters grew up in Sheboygan without a full complement of grandparents and extended family, and they always knew why. ...
