K9 Nose Work provides enjoyment, bonding for dogs and their people

Sniffing stuff and eating treats seem to be among a dog's greatest pleasures. A relatively new activity called K9 Nose Work gives canines of all breeds and ages a chance to do both, while enjoying the companionship of their person at the same time.

K9 Nose Work started in southern California in 2006 and later expanded to the East Coast and then the Midwest. The Manitowoc County Kennel Club began offering the program about a year ago, according to instructor Laurie Sales.
