5-year plan for city projects proposed

The proposed 2014 through 2018 Capital Improvement Program is slated for approval at the Marshfield City Council meeting Tuesday night.

While the city has an annual budget, the role of the CIP is providing a long-range guide for upcoming projects, said Steve Barg, city administrator.

The proposed CIP has $5.3 million in infrastructure maintenance and repair projects, including $500,000 toward a new bear exhibit at the Wildwood Zoo, $220,000 for a biking and walking trail and $150,000 toward the Library/Community Center project. ...
