Oshkosh police investigate armed robbery

The Oshkosh Police Department is investigating an armed robbery Thursday night.

Police said a 22-year-old woman from Antigo was robbed while attempting to find a friends house in the 800 block of John Street.

The woman told police a that three people in a dark purple or blue Dodge Neon stopped and told her that her friend was not home and they would give her a ride. She said the driver threatened her with a weapon and she gave the occupants an undisclosed amount of cash.

She was then driven around the area for about 45 minutes, during which she was able to use her cellphone to call her boyfriend and tell him she was in trouble. The occupants of the vehicle then took her phone.

Police said the woman was eventually driven back to her car, where she was released and her cellphone was returned to her.

The woman, who was not injured, drove to Appleton before reporting the robbery, police said.

The driver of the car was described as a 6-foot-tall white man in his early 20s, with short spiked blonde hair, and a skull and bones tattoo on web of right hand. The male passenger was in his early 20s, with brown curly hair, brown eyes and larger nose. The female passenger had dirty blonde hair about 3 inches past shoulder length , no further description of her was available.
