Ed Kastern is about as seasoned of a competitor as there will be at the Special Olympics State Indoor Games, which start today in Oshkosh.

Kastern, 35, has been competing in Special Olympics for 24 years. The Neillsville native competes in every sport he can and he's no stranger to state competition either, making his fifth appearance at the indoor games.

With that much experience to draw upon and the amount of preparation he has put into his shooting, dribbling and passing for the basketball skills competition, there was no doubt what he was feeling heading into today's events at Albee Hall on ...
