WISCONSIN RAPIDS - A 41-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man is dead after a sport utility vehicle struck the bicycle he was riding.

At 12:34 p.m. Saturday, a man on a bicycle was on the southeast corner of Eighth Street South and Pepper Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids and attempted to cross Eighth Street on his bicycle, Wisconsin Rapids Police Lt. Brian Krzykowski said.
