Events are planned for two local agencies to heighten awareness of sexual violence during April, which has been designated sexual assault awareness month.

Judy Woller, executive director of the Household Abuse Victims Emergency Network, or HAVEN, with offices in Merrill and Tomahawk, said events during sexual assault awareness month are especially important for people she calls "hidden victims" of abuse.
