Rain, snow melt prompt flood watch for area

Parts of Northeastern Wisconsin, including the Green Bay area, will be under a flood watch from Tuesday morning to Thursday night because of rain and snow melt expected later this week.

The watch was issued Monday afternoon for an area roughly south of a line from Merrill to Algoma.

Soaking rain, saturated ground and lingering frost are contributing factors in the forecast for above-normal runoff. Some rivers and streams already are swollen. Ponds may form in low-lying areas.National Weather Service forecast for Green Bay ...
