Race called an 'amazing' success: The six Wausau East High School marketing students who spent five months planning Wausau's Amazing Race say they got invaluable business experience from the work they put in to the spinoff of reality TV show "The Amazing Race."

It's getting to be crunch time in the Marketing II class at Wausau East High School, and students are putting the finishing touches on a year-long project.

Any long-term project is bound to produce a certain amount of anxiety in students. But the stakes are particularly high for the six students in the class who are organizing a very public competition called Wausau's Amazing Race. It's a spin-off of the CBS reality television show "The Amazing Race," and the students, all seniors, hope at least 40 teams participate in the event this month.
