Elected officials and representatives of advocacy groups are talking state spending at Monday's Legislature's Joint Committee meeting in Green Bay.

The panel began its meeting at 10 a.m. at the Legends Club Room at the Lambeau Field Atrium to hear people's opinions about Gov. Scott Walker's proposed $68 billion two-year budget.

Green Bay Mayor Jim Schmitt and Brown County Supervisor Patrick Evans were scheduled to be among the first of dozens of speakers who signed up to address the committee. Evans said he plans to ask for the expansion of Family Care into Northeastern Wisconsin. ...
