Schools, health care and social services dominated the state spending discussions on Monday as dozens of people told a committee of lawmakers what they want included in Wisconsin's next budget.

A meeting of the Legislature's Joint Committee on Finance attracted more than 170 people who signed up to testify about the $68 billion budget that Gov. Scott Walker has proposed for the next two years. The event at the Lambeau Field Atrium began about 10 a.m.
