50 YEARS AGO: Bert Warnecke, Milladore, is Wisconsin's outstanding young farmer. He is in Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the National Outstanding Young Farmer finals.

75 YEARS AGO: The Wood County Baseball league will swing into action on May 8 under the supervision of Orson Bean, Seneca Corners, the new president. Seven teams were represented at the annual meeting.
