Downtown business owners frustrated by bike racks sitting in storage

Main Street business owners hope a meeting with Oshkosh Public Works staff this week will clear remaining hurdles that kept bike racks delivered last summer sitting in storage.

The Downtown Oshkosh Business Improvement District, or BID, purchased a second set of bike racks to place up and down North Main Street. They were delivered in July, but BID Manager Cassie Cook says they've sat in storage ever since.

In addition, BID Board members sought to purchase more trash and recycling cans to reduce the amount of litter on Main Street, but Cook said Public Works staff told her there was no more room ...
