School board reconsiders administrator cuts

The Oshkosh school board will consider reversing budget cuts affecting administrator jobs and salaries, despite voting for it two weeks ago to save class sizes and programs.

The board on Wednesday will vote on a revised list of budget cuts that would no longer eliminate one principal, reduce hours for middle school deans or give smaller raises to administrators. Instead, the board would preserve those jobs and raises while dipping further into reserve funds to close a budget hole estimated to run as deep as $3.5 million.
